Gum Flap Laser Surgery in Ramesh Nagar

Gum disease commonly known as Pyorrhea can progress to the bone when left untreated and cause bone loss (Periodontitis).

How do I know I have gum damage?
  • Soft spongy, swollen gums
  • Bleeding gums
  • Bad breath
  • Loose shaky teeth
  • Pain on chewing
  • Gums pulling back from teeth
Treatment

The treatment generally involves cleaning (scaling) and polishing of teeth followed by a Flap Surgery. In this treatment, the dentist lifts the gums to access the roots beneath and thoroughly cleans them up with special instruments and Dental Lasers such as (Biolase Epic X which we use at Dental Folks). You may require stitches and soft diet for a few days. There may be some bleeding and discomfort after the treatment and the healing usually takes a week to 10 days. Prescription antibiotics and mouth rinses may be suggested as per the condition. It is advised to avoid smoking after the procedure.
